Katherine Heigl has opened up about being raised living in "a the white bubble." She also shares how this experience has affected her parenting of adopted children that are multiracial. Katherine Heigl, the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" star shared in a recent interview -- when it came to the color of her skin, she didn't care what she wore when she was younger, but once she talked about her sister's age, who was taken in from South Korea, she realized how differently society viewed both of them. When I inquired of Meg how she was treated when in public, regardless of whether we were with our parents, the treatment was very distinct. Meg replied, "Oh, sure, I was treated the same way all the all the time! Heigl told parents: "That was when I realized that my naivety had caused me to feel." The singer became angry at the time, and chose to channel her anger into assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl shares a son of 4 year with Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. They have adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) with a black complexion in 2009.
