Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. She was encouraged by her parents, a dentist, and a teacher who both taught her to pursue her interest in acting. This contrasted her earlier ambition to become a primateologist because she adored monkeys. When she was a teenager rising to the heights of fame was quick and accompanied by initial recognition and success. In 1998 after her studies, she participated in an French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to beginning acting professionally. Tautou attended the Institut Catholique de Paris, was a churchgoer in her youth and was brought up Catholic. But she is now separating herself from her Catholic upbringing. In addition to acting, she pursued modelling and was the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. She is a keen photographer and produced a recent exhibition at the Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. In her photographs, she is mainly focused on celebrities and fame. The camera's focus is on journalists who examined her rise to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's very first major role, as Amelie Poulain's leading actress in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, brought the actress international fame. Amelie was a box-office international hit, receiving accolades at award ceremonies around all over the world. The film is still the highest-grossing French film of the French language on the market in US. After this huge success, Tautou was later cast in numerous films, such as British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
