Emily Irene VanCamp was born in Canada. She is an actor who has appeared in numerous television series. She also excels in the film industry. After discovering her enthusiasm in the world of acting she enrolled herself in acting classes and began auditioning. At first, she was able to land a couple of commercials before being selected for the Canadian children's horror television series Are You Are You Afraid of the Dark? In one scene, she was seen without saying any words. On the WB program Glory Days, she received her first break in the industry at age 15. Emily's acting attracted the attention of Greg Berlanti, even though the show ended with just nine episode. Greg Berlanti cast Emily as a regular on Everwood.
